Voted in today’s barangay elections

I was watching the local news with my youngest sister. I’m so turned off seeing the barangay elections have to be violent. The Barangay is where democracy starts and ends … it is the people. Vote with your head and your heart, not with your pocket. Or live the rest of your life knowing that you betrayed your children and your country. Just voted, and was so proud to see with the voters turn out at my barangay! There were a lot of early voters. Each voting center was in charge of two barangays. Quick and painless. According to Prof. Winnie Monsod , if we can make our barangay system work for us, who cares about what happens in the national government? I hope our candidate wins.
